At 24 years old, born on (June 26th 2000) in Addis Ababa Ethiopia, Kaleab Imlach (known as Kaleab Kinfu) stitches together catchy songs that'll have you VIBING before you realize, Kaleab speaks from a generation that demands to be heard. Before TikTok was a thing, one might find 12 year old Kaleab creating videos of himself dancing, but this was just the beginning.
As life continued and experiences happened, Kaleab came to a conclusion that a change in environment would be a positive switch. This led to a move to California where he lived with a family friend named Joey. Who also became a father figure for Kaleab and instilled a work ethic that not only initiated but continues to propel Kaleab in setting goals and then putting the work in to reach them.
With new surroundings, support and a seeded relentless pursuit, Kaleabs study guide to success had now been initiated by a passion that would soon reveal itself. Kaleab continued life in California and attended La Cañada High School. However, with an introduction to the art of “Chance The Rapper” the spark was lit. The flame for Kaleab’s passionate pursuit began to burn. From this flame, music began to flow, and from that music came his first song called “Mama”.
After time passed and growth continued, Kaleab moved back to Anchorage, Alaska where he then completed the “Hallow” mixtape and the “The Rabbit Hole” mixtape in 2019
His first studio recorded album “When The Lights Go Out” was completed in Oct 30th 2021
Kaleab’s first live performance was at the Alaska State Fair. He then went on to perform at Williwaw Social in the HipHop Showcase Presented by BBad Productions & Knba 90.3.
In addition, Kaleab was also interviewed by KNBA 90.3, with World Famous DJ Reggie Ward.
He later made live performances in Fairbanks, Alaska and also had the opportunity to open for artist “Kembe X” an event created by Taku events at Koots AK Venue in Anchorage Alaska.
With new connections and momentum behind him, Kaleab appeared on the NO JUMPER PODCAST for a song review for “No Adios” which is a single that generated 454k organic Spotify streams & 306k Soundcloud streams.
